2013: Year in Review

In review of 2013, here’s what I said about last year:

The WORD for 2013: ORGANIC

Organic means: additive-free, natural. Organic relationships and experiences can’t be ‘set-up’ (and genetically alterations and artificial intelligence often times lead to mutations anyway because they’re not complete). Only God can orchestrate the organic relationships and experiences necessary to experience his perfect (whole) peace!

This has held true throughout the year, I haven’t established many new relationshipd but the ones I have, have definitely been organic and orchestrated by God Himself!

The ATTITUDE for 2013: Social -ism

-ism is a suffix used to form action nouns from verbs. Social means living in friendly companionship or relations with others rather than in isolation. IOW (In Other Words): I’m working on BEING more social, relational and relatable. Let me clarify, this does not mean more electronic communication (ie texts, emails, fb, twitter)… This means actually doing stuff and spending time WITH and talking TO people…

Wow! This category has to be the one I stepped out on the most. I went and did a little bit of everything this year! Started the year off with a Nerdy 30 Birthday, participated in over 5 5k runs, got a new tattoo and a nose piercing, went ziplining, white water rafting, on a cruise to the Bahamas, I can’t even remember it all… needless to say I socialized and them some!

The PHRASE for 2013: ‘So What!?’

Seriously! A lot of what we whine, cry, complain, gripe, moan, groan about, claim that we need and can’t live without… DOES NOT MATTER! What matters? What we DO about it! And what we DO is: Walk by Faith & the Spirit into all Truth. We are DOers of the Word! We walk what we believe out!! (forgive me now in advance, you have been forewarned)

I can’t really say I was cognizant of this throughout the year, but I’m pretty you those of you who know me can remind me whether or not I used the term and how frequently… LOL

The LIFESTYLE for 2013: CA$H ONLY #TeamDebtFree

Get a budget and only spend what you’ve allocated. If you have direct deposit, pay all your bills online (do bill pay-make it automatic) and withdraw whatever is left and use cash for food, and other miscellaneous shopping… (and stash you change to bless someone else at the end of the year…)

I’m not 100% debt free YET but, through my ca$h only lifestyle I was able to save nearly $100 in loose change which will be donated to The Church of Jacksonville’s Day4Change and I was able to pay off two of six student loans!! Only 4 more to go! I am well on my way!

The SCRIPT for 2013: 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP)

“God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to [ME] in abundance, so that [I] may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”Declare and Meditate on this DAILY!

There was never a day I was without! God’s grace was sufficient. Next year I look for His grace to ABUNDANT! MORE than enough! Amen!

Happy New Year’s Eve! #LIVE #LOVE #LAUGH #LEARN #2013
