After receiving some rather potentially depressing information yesterday, I felt my soul trying to take me in a sulking direction that I didn’t want to be in. After all, it was really information I should have been rejoicing over but the awkwardness of no longer being in the comforts that I’d known for almost 10 years was a bit apprehensive.
Instead of moaning, groaning, crying, pouting or geting angry, I confessed the truth of God’s word over my life, and decided to trust and rest in His peace and guidance. Since He’s taken care of me for this long, I know He’s got me from now til whenever.
Today was my youngest daughter’s award ceremony and one of the key elements was a list one of the teachers read called ‘The 7 Ups of Life’.
I didn’t think much of the 7 Ups until right before leaving work when I received some news that blew my previous somewhat depressing news out of the water!
As a result, I’ve decided to share these with you in hopes on enlightening and encouraging you through whatever you may be dealing with! Keep Your Head Up & Enjoy! Wake Up!
Decide to have a good day.
“Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is
an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth so He must have
meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
“He who guards his lips guards his soul.”
“Gossip betrays confidence; avoid men who talk too much.”
“Listen to advice, accept instruction and in the end, you will be wise.”
Stand up for what you believe in. As the saying goes,
if you don’t stand for something you may be willing to fall for anything.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
Look up to the Lord.
“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”
Rise up to something higher than the norm.
Always try to be better today than you were yesterday.
“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye
when you have a log in your own?”
Lift Up & Don’t Ever Give Up!
Lift up your prayers.
“Do not worry about anything; instead pray about everything.”
“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”
